Alumni Spotlight

Graduates from this program are qualified for a variety of potential education careers depending on chosen coursework and dual-enrollment in another content area graduate degree program. Students also have the opportunity to become involved in primary research. Recent graduates have published practitioner pieces and science education research articles (should we link something here?).

Highlighted Career Pathways:

  • College Teaching and Post-secondary Education: This program was designed to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge required to succeed as instructors at 2-year colleges or 4-year universities.
  • K-12 and Secondary Education: While not a certification program, MST provides flexibility if students would like to take courses focused on techniques related to K-12 and secondary teaching. Program completers may opt to seek alternative certification or teach in a private high school.
